Children's Day 2025

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Shirthady, organized a joyful one-day picnic on 16-11-2025 for the Parish Children as part of the Children’s Day celebration. The journey began after the Children Mass at 11 o’clock. A total of 100 children, accompanied by 11 catechism teachers and our Parish Priest Fr. Harold Mascarenhas, travelled in two buses filled with excitement and enthusiasm.

We first reached St Lawrence Church, Bondel, where the group spent time in prayer and fellowship and enjoyed a delicious lunch.

After lunch, the group proceeded to Sulthan Batthery and experienced an exciting ferry ride that brought great joy and laughter among the children. The final destination was Tannirbavi Beach, where various fun games and activities were arranged especially for them. The cool breeze, lively atmosphere, and cheerful participation made the day truly memorable.

The picnic strengthened the bond among the parish children and made their Children’s Day celebration special. We safely returned to the church at 5:45 pm, carrying beautiful memories of a wonderful day.
