Message from the Parish Priest

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ,

          My Greetings to all our parishioners of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Shirthady.  For the last 96 years God has taken care of us through the intercession of  Our Lady of Mount Carmel. We thank God through Jesus Christ and his mother Mary for their love, protection and blessings. We are also Blessed with the intercession of St. Theresa of Child Jesus, the secondary Patron of this Parish.

         We thank God and express our gratitude for all Parish Priests and the Assistant Parish Priests, Deacons, Brothers and Ursuline sisters and our Lay leaders with Vice Presidents, Secretaries, Gurkars, Finance Committee members, Parish Pastoral Council members, Parish lay associations for their contribution in many ways making us what we are today.

        At present our parish community comprises of nearly 286 families, with a population of 1200, devided into 8 wards dedicated to Carmel, Rosary, Fathima, St. Therese of Child Jesus, St. Joseph, St. Antony,           St. Ignatius and St. Sebastian.

         Communication with each and every member of the parish community is the need of the hour. Hence we are introducing a new website ‘www.shirthadychurch.in’ this October, so that we could be closer to each other and build up the parish community. All the Best.
